A is for ALA!
We spent the last 3 days at the ALA (American Library Association) conference, surrounded by zillions of books, authors, illustrators, badass librarians, totebags, and rainbows (it was Pride after all!) It was exhausting and exciting and I brought home way too many books and got to meet so many people that I admire + appreciate, including fine public library employees from all over the world whose passion for books (esp children’s books!) is immense and so important. Here are just three of the incredible, inspiring writers that we were able to meet: Jacqueline Woodson, Ann M. Martin, and Nikki Giovanni!
